We have set a minimum price of £40 for small paintings and £75 for larger ones.
Entry: £6 per single 2D piece, £6 per single 3D piece, £6 per 3D collection.
Each artist may enter up to three submissions, including a combination of 2D and 3D works, one of which can be NFS (not for sale), for which you will not be charged. Anyone submitting three pieces can add a fourth small picture for free.
Additionally, you may enter up to three browser works via the submission form free of charge.
Commission: a 10% commission will again be applied (we are currently subsidising this, but will have to put the commission back up to 20% in line with the library’s policy for the summer exhibition).
Insurance: All exhibitors should insure their own work.
Stewarding: all exhibitors are expected to steward for two sessions, as this is a 5 week exhibition. Stewarding sessions are 10-1pm and 1- 4pm. Please telephone Jill Tomalin to book your slots between Monday 16th – Saturday 21st March inclusive on 01722 349308. (Please note, this is the week running up to the submission deadline).
NEW Artists’ Profiles: if you would like to update or add your profile to the file giving details of our members, please bring an A4 sheet to the hand in.
2D work
- Each Artist may submit 3 pictures in any combination of large and small (plus a fourth small picture for free as referred to above).
- Large pictures are defined as up to 80cm x 80cm or equivalent area including frames. Small pictures are up to 30cm x 30cm, or equivalent area, not including frames.
- For safety, hanging work must be hung by cord attached to D rings on the reverse.
- Please attach an ‘overhanging label’ with artist’s name, title of picture and medium.
You may also submit up to three browser works free of charge. Late entries, including at hand in, will not be accepted. Please do not add additional ones during the exhibition as we need to limit the number of browser works displayed.
3D work
- You may enter up to 3 submissions. Please clearly label with name, title, and medium.
- Single items should have a footprint no bigger than 30cm x 30cm approx. A collection is up to 3 pieces that can stand within a 30cm x 30cm space and are offered for sale as one item.
- Don’t forget, if submitting three 3D pieces, you can still enter a small 2D picture and up to three browser works for free.
Full guidance on preparing your artwork for submission can be found on the exhibition page of the SGA website
Late submissions, substitutions and any request to change a submission price or name after the submission date will be rejected unless there is a truly exceptional reason. All submission forms submitted will be confirmed by email immediately after submission
The organising group reserves the right to limit the number or size of exhibits to include as many exhibitors as possible.
