New Team Leader
We are delighted to welcome Jill Tomalin to the team as our new Team Co-ordinator, leading all the administration of our exhibitions. Jill and Mike, her husband, came to Salisbury from Totnes where Jill was involved in the administration of exhibitions there.
This means that Annie can now return to concentrating on curating of exhibitions, which is her special interest, without having to supervise the admin.
Welcome Jill!
SGA Exhibition Programme 2025
I’ve always enjoyed coming to the SGA summer exhibitions, and this summer I was able to start matching up the art with the artists, and meet a number of you, as I was organising the stewarding rota. Thank you to everyone who ensured we covered all the sessions fully, particularly those who stepped in at the last moment.
It was a great and successful exhibition, which really represented the SGA positively. On behalf of everyone involved, particular thanks are due to Genny and Jane who have now stepped down from the exhibition team, they will be missed - but a big welcome to Sarah who has just joined us.
Now, some important dates for your 2025 diary….
Joint Exhibition with Plain Arts, Saturday 5th April – Thursday 1st May 2025
At the library gallery. Full details will be published in January, but hand in is expected to be on Wednesday 2nd April.
Because the end of the exhibition coincides with the Bank holiday weekend, we have decided to close the exhibition on the Thursday, with pick up later that day or on the morning of Friday 2nd May.
Summer Exhibition, Saturday 2nd- Saturday 30th August 2025
Again at the library gallery, as usual. Hand in will be on Wednesday 30 July, with hand back on Saturday 30th August.
Annie and I will be meeting with Helen and Ian of Plain Arts to confirm practical details in the New Year, so expect more information in the next Newsletter, and on the SGA website fairly soon.
