Visit to Old Sarum, June 28th
After the heatwave of the previous week the breeze at the top of Old Sarum was very welcoming, as was the sight of many butterflies amongst the beautiful wild flowers and uncut grasses. Particularly striking were the banks of Rose Bay Willow herb plants, that some of us chose as our subject.
Large cumulus clouds dominated the skyline and given more time would have been a great subject to study.
But as usual time flew by and our pleasant afternoon came to an end as we gathered together to enjoy looking at each other’s sketches.
