Visit to the Breamore Estate
Sunday 14 September

Heavy rain and wind prevented any outdoor sketching on this occasion, and only one sketcher came along to join me.

However, Breamore has a fascinating Countryside Museum where there are a wealth of subjects to sketch. I chose a group of strange objects on display in the Wheelwright’s workshop, whilst Sue turned to the gardener’s corner and drew some of the pots and watering cans. We spent a peaceful time there absorbed in our work whilst the rain continued to lash down.

Later we had a cup of tea and cake in the cosy cafe that was busy despite the weather. We both agreed that it had been a very enjoyable afternoon and worth turning out on a wet Sunday.
