Artcare Exhibition at Salisbury Hospital
17th October – 21st November 2025
We hope members will feel able to support the imminent ArtCare exhibition at the hospital. It is a very worthwhile cause, a great opportunity to achieve a sale, and a successful exhibition space. Last year we achieved sales of more than £1000 across ten paintings. Best of all, we all know from our own visits to the hospital, just how much it brightens up the corridors there. Hand in day is 13th October.
Entry is free. You can enter up to four pictures (not 3D). Simply fill in the form and take it with your pictures to the Hand in on 13th October.
Hand in: Monday 13th October, 10am – 3pm
Collect: Monday 24th November 10am-3pm
It can get busy in the first hour of both sessions, so we advise avoiding this time, if you can.
Drop off/collection point: ArtCare office, Facilities Directorate, Salisbury District Hospital, South
From the Odstock Road, turn into ENTRANCE B, and drive straight for about 250yards. Just before the second zebra crossing, pull up on the yellow hatched area on the righthand side. the ArtCare office is in Block 29 (see also map attached to submission form). There will be two designated parking spaces outside the ArtCare office (there is a maximum 30 minutes free parking on the hospital site, but this should be plenty of time to drop off and pick up pictures).
Guidelines for Exhibiting Artists
You may enter up to four pictures (maximum size 80 x 80cms). Lesley Self, the organizer, advises that it would be a good idea to include one which is smaller and ‘affordable’, if possible.
They must be presented for hanging properly framed (not clip frames). Frame fixtures must be D rings with a taut cord, not wire, and fixed in the top third of the frame.
Pictures must be unwrapped on delivery and the wrapping taken away. They must be clearly labelled on the back with the artist’s name, title and price.
The organisers cannot guarantee displaying everything if there is a large entry, and the hospital cannot be responsible for loss or damage to exhibited works. Please make your own insurance arrangements.
Commission of 30% will be taken and donated to the Hospital Arts Service.
